Before we were inspired to start Inspiranza Designs, back when we worked together in the 9 to 5 workday world, our lunches were by far the highlight of our days. Our conversations covered everything from current events to when our kids were born. We chatted up that lunch hour day after day and discovered many things about each other. The great thing about being friends was that we could share everything over lunch including about how as young girls we were introduced to Christ and accepted him into our hearts.
The seeds of love were planted in our hearts many years earlier and as we grew and went our own ways, we knew it was not the direction we had been called to travel so very many years earlier. We shared how we were each working to be where God wanted us to be, and do whatever God wanted us to do. We just didn't know what that was and while thinking we were walking in the right direction, fell into many pot holes, stumbling in our ordinary lives. Falling short of the service we felt called to live by an extraordinary God.
The more you stumble, the more you feel you've messed up the original plan. It's so hard to live perfect but guess what, no one is perfect. And, to further support the ridiculousness of that thought process, thinking we have to be perfect is something that breeds shame and self-disappointment. Neither of those emotions is what our Heavenly Father wants for us. He accepts us as we are, imperfect, and if you just say yes, he will use you. Proof of that is part of our history, back in 2004 when we didn't tell each other that they were praying to be used, somehow, if God could use imperfect vessels. We were willing.
Funny thing about prayer, God answers! His answer was in the form of a suggestion (one that had to be presented over and over before it was accepted - another story) to start this business and allow his message to be spread in homes all across America in a whisper sprinkled on our website and in our catalogs.
We strive to get out of the way of our thoughts of imperfection and realize that the light we shine is not on us, but on our Father. We want to SHINE FOR HIM!
Here we are a little more than three years later and we are represented in 40 states. To date we have nearly 1000 consultants who have joined us and in doing so shared our catalogs with thousands upon thousands all over the country. We're continuing to grow and expect to reach our goal of 1000 consultants by the end of the year. That's a faith statement.
Orphans......when we started this business we didn't have a mission of shining the light on needs of orphans anywhere on our radar. It came as a complete surprise and it arrived in separate deliveries to each of us.
God started dealing with the plight of orphans in our hearts and not long after that we happened to catch the name of a singer/song writer, Stephen Curtis Chapman and discovered the work he and his wife Mary Beth Chapman were doing to support the needs of orphans and assist families with adoptions. Our hearts were injected with the desire to bring waiting orphans home. What followed was the partnering with Show Hope and it is our commitment ......be the helper of the orphan. Psalms 10:14
God continues to grow the business, all while we continue to seek His will. Seeking His will and listening to His leading is what brings a message of hope and a sincere desire to be refined.
Our product is silver and silver is mentioned many times in the bible. Silver, as you know, must be worked and refined and we are asking God to refine us and remove the things that prevent us from shining for Him. God works on us everyday bringing the imperfections to the surface so that they can be polished away. Did we make it clear to you that we are imperfect? We really are, just regular girls who face the same things that each of you face on a daily basis. Today, all is well with our soul. Being in the place where we feel inspired to be and doing the things we feel led are nothing short of humbling.
It is our hope that through this message you will see the one who refines us...the master silversmith, our Jesus. He didn't come for a perfect people, he came for us, the imperfect. A silversmith would have no purpose if all silver came polished.
Do you have things in your life that need polished away? Do you need refined? We know just who can do the job and not only can He correct your current flaw, He will stay with you and polish away the tarnish that builds in your daily life. If you don't know him, we invite you to explore more by clicking here. If you do know Him then we invite you to celebrate with us and encourage you to continue to Shine for Him! |
