To the Victor Goes the Spoil

10 His Glory Appears (click to download and play while reading)

As we enter this season of Passover I cannot help but reflect on a battle that was fought and won. It was fought in a realm both seen (on the earth) and unseen (in the heavenlies) and it began with one voice crying in the wilderness, "Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." The voice spoke of Yeshua, the Son of God.

He came as a man, healing and teaching about the Kingdom of God. Among His weapons was doing the perfect will of the Father as he stuck to the battle plan that no man could comprehend even as He fought right in front of them. It wasn't until after His death and resurrection that the fullness of this miraculously victorious battle became apparent.

He fought the decisive battle between good and evil, between Heaven and Hell, and ultimately between eternal life and eternal death. He arose victorious and changed the direction of eternity for untold numbers who accept the spoils of His victory.

To the victor goes the spoils but this Victor didn't fight the battle for His treasuries, He fought it for us. He not only willingly and lovingly hands over the spoils for us to receive, but He does it all for the Father's Glory. The spoils He hands over to us include forgiveness, redemption, grace, mercy, good standing with the Father, restoration of joy, healing, authority, His power and His purpose.

What is the cost of accepting the spoils? It is to lay down our heavy burdens, our aimless wandering, and our own plans in exchange for His plan for our life which brings peace, His yoke which is light, and fellowship with the Father which is love.

I cannot easily put into words how grateful I am that He fought this battle for you and me. And after the battle was won, He continued to follow the perfect will of Abba Father by returning to Heaven and taking His rightful position. Even now He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding on our behalf. But as with any good shepherd, He didn't leave His flock unattended, He left us with a Keeper. He left the Holy Spirit to guide and keep us. To the victor goes the spoil and to those that accept Him, you receive the Keeper, the Spirit of God.

At this season, reconsider the battle, the spoils, and the Kingdom of God that's ours for the taking. Have you accepted all that Jesus provided? Don't allow another day to pass without receiving all that His victory provides for you. Start with turning your life over to the one who fought to give you freedom from sin. He will bring your spirit to life and send you the Keeper to guide your path through this life. You can live a victorious life now because of all He provided through His sacrifice.

Is it hope that you need? He gives it. Is it healing that you want? He paid for it. Is it restoration with the Father? He is our adversary and it is His good pleasure to provide everything in accordance with the will of God.

Whatever your needs, they've already been provided through His victorious battle. We thank you Lord Jesus, Yeshua, for fighting and winning the battle to rescue us. To Him be all the Glory, Praise and Honor for He alone is worthy.

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God.
Revelation 19:1
